1-Act Plays
Self-Portrait at Bethany follows Vincent van Gogh, a washed-up wannabe rockstar who would rather die than live in obscurity. The painter battles his present and future when a mysterious visitor comes to the Yellow House.
Performed in the 2019 Harvard-Westlake Playwrights Festival. Produced by Michele Spears and Rees Pugh. Directed by Sarah Tither-Kaplan. Performance not currently available.
Alex Is (Not) Dead, inspired by the Japanese rent-a-family industry, follows the story of a mother who hires actors to impersonate her late husband and son. The play explores how far we will go to get back what we’ve lost, and what it takes to build the “perfect family”.
Performed in the 2018 Harvard-Westlake Playwrights Festival. Produced by Christopher Moore. Directed by Jessica Winward.
Expulsion From Paradise is a re-imagining of the Eve and Adam story—except, they absolutely hate each other. After having (yet another) fight and exiting the Garden of Eden in a huff, they enter the mysterious Land of Nought, where they encounter future versions of themselves and are pushed to choose the paths they will take, and the people they will become.
Performed in the 2017 Harvard-Westlake Playwrights Festival. Produced by Christopher Moore. Directed by Jennifer Robbins.
